This is the original El Central Cafe from Colusa, CA from the 1970's till 1990's. I had the Crunchy flour shelled tacos I once ate as a young kid in Colusa and they still tasted the same!! Thanks so much Ramon and we will definitely be back!!!

Have been coming here since I was a baby! Ramon and his employees are super friendly and the food is always delicious! Can't beat the prices. The soup is AMAZING! love the fresh made chips to go with the salsa as well. Personal fave items are the guacamole salad, soup, and shredded beef tacos.

My challenge to you, stop by today for lunch or dinner. If you don't enjoy your meal, check the address you must not be at 427 Palora Ave.
I'm going to stop for lunch, hoping Ramon has a special. The special are always unique.
The food is always authentic, never that normal stuff other restaurants try to pass of as authentic
Hope to see you there, if you recognize me I'll buy your lunch -

I was in town with my film crew, and a local suggested The El Centro Cafe. What a great suggestion, I would have never found this place on my own and would probably have ended up in a typical chain restaurant.
We learned it was family run and the owner remembers the names of the regulars here. True story, I witnessed it myself. The staff was friendly and a little slow, but they also took time with their customers, so I can cut them a little slack.
The food was very good a very well priced. Everyone in my group was well satisfied and full at the end of our meal.
I was back in town a few months later with my wife for a memorial, and I stopped in again. She too was impressed with the food.
Realistically the restrooms need some updating and unused bar seems odd in the dining room. But there is a certain charm to this family run establishment that works for me. -

Second time here and it was just as good as the first time. Yesterday for lunch, my iced tea was delivered along with chips, two types of salsa and a cup of soup. Both salsas were wonderful. The soup was a basic broth with cabbage and pasta in it. Nothing fancy, but really good and flavorful. I ordered two cheese enchiladas and a beef taco. I asked for onions on the enchiladas which they did. All very good. The last time I was here, I ordered the chili verde and a steak dish. Again both were excellent and very good. The owner is very kind and welcoming. I would definitely this place.
